What is the difference between our technology and other DWR solutions? Our coating lasts as long as the fibers in the fabric. This means no re-applications, lower cost, and better adventures.  Our technology makes any fabric water-repellent and, in some applications, absolutely waterproof. What products do you feel would benefit from our technology?

Weatherproof Outerwear/Equipment

Whether you are a weekend warrior looking for hiking clothes or a hardcore outdoor enthusiast looking for durable, water-resistant outerwear, Xeromax's technology will help to ensure that you stay safe and comfortable either way.  We designed our technology to last; the material will stay virtually waterproof for as long as the product lasts.  Below is a description of some of our ideas for outdoor products.  If there are ideas we missed, let us know! Demand what you want.

Rock Climbing/Mountaineering

Ropes, gear-slings, quick draws, and harnesses all share one important characteristic - nylon.  As nylon absorbs water, the strength qualities are degraded, they begin to elongate, and safety is compromised.  The Xeromax technology will help to ensure that those all important strength qualities are preserved while maintaining the natural surface qualities.  Other applications include:  Outerwear, base-layers, climbing shoes, and gear bags.

Skiing/Snowboarding

Current outerwear solutions effectively repel and protect against water leakage while providing comfort and style.  Unfortunately, even your most state of the art apparel options effectively repel water for only a short amount of time before the outer nylon layer begins to "wet out" which hampers breathability and causes a "cold and clammy" feel.  Membrane technologies such as Gore-tex effectively keep water from penetrating but do little to prevent this absorption.  The Xeromax technology, coupled with a waterproof membrane, will help to ensure long-lasting comfort and protection from water absorption while allowing the fabric to breath naturally and maintain it's natural pliability.

Kayaking/Canoeing

Whether punching through class V rapids or gliding through pristine, still-water lakes, staying dry is critical to ensuring a comfortable, pleasant experience.  Coupled with the Xeromax technology, paddling outerwear, PFDs, footwear, and skull caps will more effectively repel water and protect against the elements for a longer period of time.  In addition, do not become the next victim to losing your boat off the top of your car; Xeromax-treated nylon straps will help prevent against elongation.

Water skiing/Wakeboarding

Tired of putting on a wet, cold PFD?  What about wet, soggy gloves?  It is painful enough to jump into a cold lake.  The Xeromax technology, when applied to the inside of a neoprene PFD will allow the water (and body oils) from the previous user to simply roll off - thus eliminating the need to feel the chill run up your spine before even taking the plunge.  When applied to gloves, not only will it minimize the water absorption, it will allow them to dry quicker as well.  This means dry equipment every time you slap on the ski or cinch up the wakeboard.

Fishing/Hunting

Fishing and hunting are two sports that require a great deal of patience, waiting and perseverance.  That patience is tested when mother nature enforces her fury.  With outerwear, vests, and footwear guarded with the Xeromax technology, rain and snow are far weaker opponents.  Keep your ammunition dry with water repellent gear bags or keep your flies and fly line afloat and visible with buoyant, water-repelling Xeromax technology that doesn't have to be reapplied.

Cycling/Running

Don't let the fear of rain or snow create unnecessary stress in otherwise heart strengthening aerobic activities.  Outerwear including jackets, jerseys, shorts, compression tights, socks, and footwear will remain dry and comfortable, no matter the weather, when protected with Xeromax technology.
