Chris Bryant

Chris has experience in Sporting Goods, high tech, and fiber manufacturing with businesses based in Mexico, China, San Diego, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. Most recently Chris worked as an Associate Director for Cougar Capital, a university-based live Venture Capital firm. He interned with American Express as a Finance Manager in Pheonix, Arizona. Prior to graduate school, Chris spent 3 years as General Manager of a Los Angeles-based manufacturing company supplying composite materials to Aerospace, Industrial Gas, and Medical Device companies. Chris received an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University where he served as a Student Body Officer.

Jon Ward
VP Sales/CFO

 

Jon has experience in financial analysis, general management, investment consulting, and sporting goods. Most recently, he was the Director of the BYU Business Plan Competition - the largest private university competition in the nation. He interned at ExxonMobil Corporation as a Business and Financial Analyst. Prior to entering graduate school, Jon worked as an Investment Financial Consultant at Zions Bank, overseeing the investment activity for over 500 clients with over $40 million in aggregate account assets. He has also spent over 5 years in the retail sporting goods industry. Jon holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. He holds a BA degree (Cum Laude) in Economics and Russian from Utah State University.

Matt Linford
Founder/Board

 

Matt is the original inventor and developer of the Hydrapel technology and has extensive experience in technology startups as well as in the textiles industry. He holds 13 patents and has co-founded and been on the Board of Directors for 3 start-ups including Xeromax Sciences (2009), Millenniata (2007), and LaserArray Technologies (2006). Matt is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Bio Chemistry at Brigham Young University. Before joining BYU, he worked as the Director of Research at Nano-Tex, LLC., Senior Scientist/Consultant at Praelux, Inc., and Senior Scientist at Rohm & Haas Co.. Matt holds a PHD in Chemistry and an MS in Materials Sciences from Stanford University. He received a BS (Magna Cum Laude) in Chemistry from BYU.

Gaurav Sinai
CTO

 

Gaurav is a PhD candidate in analytical chemistry at BYU where he works under the direction of Dr. Matt Linford. Gaurav was instrumental in the development of Hydrapel. He received his masters in analytical chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. Prior to entering his PhD program, he worked as the head of the analytical chemistry division of Sri Ram Fibers, India. Gaurav received the Loren C. and F Maurine F. Bryner Graduate Award and is a Roland K. Robins Graduate Research Fellow
